The Rivermead Team
Resident safety is our priority. We have gone above and beyond to ensure that safety and security measures are of the highest standard and official protocol at Rivermead Islands. As a family run business, we understand just how important student safety is.
Residents of PointView and The Lofts Chelmsford benefit from a fully trained security and concierge team. This is usually not offered at standard student halls of residence. Unlike other student accommodation, each concierge team member holds 20+ years of experience in both security and customer service and we’re available to assist should you need anything throughout your time here. Whilst living at Rivermead Islands, our team are always present and on hand to assist you 24/7.
State of The Art Technology
As the only private, purpose-built student accommodation in Chelmsford, Rivermead Islands offers residents a unique student living experience whilst studying at Anglia Ruskin University. Whether you’re studying in your room, holding a games night with friends or gathering for a night out, our team and state of the art technology is there to keep you safe. Both Pointview and The Lofts are monitored by all-encompassing, around the clock CCTV for your safety and complete peace of mind.
Pointview and The Lofts Chelmsford can only be accessed via our secure entry system. At Rivermead Islands, we use Flexipass, a secure key application that can only be accessed by resident phones. This means no risk of anyone else picking up a personal access card or key. It’s also more convenient when it comes to accessibility, minimising the risk of residents forgetting their keys.
FAQs
Our team at PointView and The Lofts Chelmsford are often asked a lot of questions in regard to student safety and security. Here, we’ve put together a list detailing some of those FAQs and our answers, so that future students and parents know exactly what they can expect from Rivermead Islands.
Can I Bring A Friend to Stay?
Of course! However, overnight stays should only be occasional. Residents will be responsible for the behaviour of their guests. Security have the right to refuse entry to anyone whose behaviour compromises the safety of other residents.
Will the Accommodation Gates Be Locked After A Certain Time?
You are welcome to come and go as you please, so long as you have the Flexipass application to regain entry. If returning home late, we would ask you to respect your fellow residents and do so quietly.
Can I Share My Room?
No, we do not permit this. Private rooms are only suitable for one resident to live there. However, if you’d like a room near a friend, do let us know! For security and legal purposes, we do not allow subletting your room either.
